Our Rosé & Pinot Noir Yum Cha Lunch at Davids is becoming even more popular with 80 bookings this time. We had to book out the entire venue for all our yum cha and wine lovers. This was also the first event where we increased the pour to 75ml per glass and reduced the number of wines from 8 to 6. The event now does not feel rushed and made a big difference in terms of the flow of the event. The event went very smoothly as we like to get very organised at these events. There were no issues or problems and the attendees were a very friendly bunch and a pleasure to meet.

The most popular wine for this lunch was the 2014 Cramele Recas Werewolf Pinot Noir (Transylvania, Romania). We sold over 60 bottles of this wine. Maybe it is the glow in the dark label which attracted them to buy the wine? I think the fact that it is a very pleasant light drinking wine and from Transylvania which people enjoyed. They like to try something different.
The next most popular wine is the 2013 Brown Magpie Single Vineyard Pinot Noir from the Bellarine region in Victoria. It actually comes from the Surf Coast. This wine won best Pinot Noir and wine of the show at the 2015 Boutique Wine Awards.
This is what attracted me to the wine and when I tried it for the first time, I was extremely impressed and have been selling this wine since.
Davids is known for their yum cha. They have a very good reputation as one of the best yum cha producers. We love yum cha and we believe that we have chosen wisely to have our events there.
